The 8th Pingyao International Film Festival Calls for Entry Now

The 8th Pingyao International Film Festival will be held from September 24th to 30th in Pingyao Ancient City,Jinzhong City,Shanxi Province. The Festival opens the submission entry officially and the submission deadline is July 15th.

Applicants can access the official website https://www.pyiffestival.com/film to submit online. Additionally, more submission details can be obtained through the official WeChat public account and Weibo of the Pingyao International Film Festival.

Submitted films will be selected by the program planning team led by the Artistic Director of the Pingyao International Film Festival and will have the opportunity to be included in the official screening section of the 8th Pingyao International Film Festival.

The Pingyao International Film Festival comprises four main sections: screening, industry, academic, and education. Among them, the screening section consists of the "Crouching Tigers" unit, which focuses on international new directors; the "Hidden Dragons" unit, which discovers new directors in Chinese-language cinema; the "Galas" unit, which showcases annually significant commercial films, masterpieces, or selected outstanding films from major film festivals; the "Made-in-Shanxi" unit, aimed at promoting the development of Shanxi's film industry; and the “Retrospective/Tribute” unit, featuring specially curated classic films with unique perspectives and academic value.
