2024 Shanxi Tourism Development Conference will be held in Taiyuan.

The 2024 Shanxi Tourism Development Conference will be held in Taiyuan from July 26th to 28th. With the theme of "Tourism Makes Life Better," the conference is hosted by the Communist Party of China (CPC) Shanxi Provincial Committee and the People’s Government of Shanxi Province, and co-organized by the Culture and Tourism Department of Shanxi Province, the Taiyuan Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Taiyuan Municipal People's Government. The conference will adopt innovative forms of "new formats, new equipment, new products, and new scenarios" for application demonstrations and project matchmaking, hosting practical and efficient series of activities to boost the high-quality development of the province's culture and tourism industry.

The main activities of the conference cover six aspects: convening working meetings, hosting the opening ceremony for a series of high-quality development matchmaking activities in the culture and tourism industry, organizing a series of high-quality development matchmaking activities in the culture and tourism industry, conducting a series of launching events, organizing matchmaking activities for tourism service providers, and carrying out a series of supporting activities.

The exclusive mascots for this Tourism Development Conference, "Jinjin" and "Yangyang", made their debut. Their names are derived from the ancient name of Taiyuan, Jinyang.
