Global Gold Label Event! Date for the 2025 Taiyuan Marathon Announced

12月21日，太原市体育局发布消息，2025年太原马拉松赛被确认为世界田联金标赛事。根据世界田联新修订的标牌路跑赛事规则，2025年起，世界范围内白金标马拉松赛事上限为12场，金标马拉松赛事上限为25场（单一性别马拉松赛事不设限制）。

On December 21st, the Taiyuan Sports Bureau announced that the 2025 Taiyuan Marathon is officially recognized as a World Athletics Gold Label Road Race. According to World Athletics' newly revised rules for labeled road races, starting in 2025, the number of Platinum Label Marathon events worldwide will be capped at 12, while Gold Label Marathon events will be limited to 25, with no restrictions on single-gender events.

在这份最新的赛事日历上，2025年太原马拉松赛获得了“金牌”标识，开赛时间暂定为2025年9月21日。这也意味着太原马拉松赛成为2025年全球25场金标马拉松赛事之一。

On this latest event calendar, the 2025 Taiyuan Marathon has obtained a "Gold Label" certification, with a tentative start date of September 21, 2025. This also signifies that the Taiyuan Marathon has become one of the 25 Gold Label Marathon events globally in 2025.

太原马拉松赛始于2010年，由山西省体育局、太原市人民政府主办。太原马拉松赛于2013年跻身中国田协金牌赛事，2019年第一次被国际田联授予“金牌”标识。

The Taiyuan Marathon, which originated in 2010, is hosted by the Sports Bureau of Shanxi Province and the People's Government of Taiyuan Municipality. The Taiyuan Marathon became a China Athletic Association Gold Label event in 2013 and was first awarded the "Gold Label" certification by the International Association of Athletics Federations (now World Athletics) in 2019.

作为国内顶级的“双金”赛事，2024年太原马拉松赛共吸引国内外4万名选手参赛，其中，全程马拉松1.3万人、半程马拉松1.6万人、迷你跑5000人、家庭亲子跑6000人，报名峰值人数超过12万人，报名总人数和各项目参赛人数均创历史新高。

As a domestically top-tier "double gold" event, the 2024 Taiyuan Marathon attracted a total of 40,000 runners from both home and abroad. This included 13,000 participants in the full marathon, 16,000 in the half marathon, 5,000 in the mini-marathon, and 6,000 in the family fun run. The peak number of registrations exceeded 120,000, setting new records for total registrations and participation in each category.
