This Spring Festival, Shanxi So “City” – Yuncheng&Linfen Edition

To celebrate the Intangible Cultural Heritage Spring Festival, Yuncheng City and Linfen City have meticulously planned a series of events. From January 29th to February 12th, 2025, an exhibition and experience of intangible cultural heritage will be held at the Yongji Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Hall on the 5th floor of the Guanque Tower Scenic Area in Yongji City. Cultural and creative projects include Yongji cloth figures, dough figurines, sugar-blowing figurines, etc., while culinary projects feature handmade noodles and grain-fried noodles. On February 12th, 2025, a vibrant street parade featuring stilt walking, land boats, yangko dances, and other colorful performances will be held on Tiaoshan Street in Pinglu County. The 19th Hongtong Dahuaishu Folk Culture Chinese New Year is tentatively scheduled to be held at the Hongtong Dahuaishu Scenic Area on January 29th, 2025, with around ten activities and performances throughout the day designed around themes such as sending New Year blessings, prayer, and stamp collecting. A Lantern Festival-themed event is tentatively planned for February 12th, 2025, at the same scenic area, featuring four activities and performances throughout the day centered around interactive activities and intangible cultural heritage experiences. From January 29th to February 3rd, 2025, folk performance viewing, temple fair strolling, and specialty snack tasting will be held at Yunqiu Mountain Scenic Area.
