Located in the southern end of Xiaodian District, Taiyuan City, Liujiabao Village has introduced multiple intangible cultural heritage projects, forming a series of intangible cultural heritage courtyards, which have promoted the development of culture and tourism industry. A total of 47 intangible cultural heritage and handicraft projects, including Lion Dance of Xihuamen, Taiyuan Heavy Drum Art, traditional lacquerware, and Jinci rice wine, have settled in the village, making the town of intangible cultural heritage, culture and tourism increasingly renowned.

Innovative Development and Integration of Ancient and Modern

The Intangible Cultural Heritage Experience and Exhibition Center in Taiyuan  Ancient County displays outstanding intangible cultural heritage projects through display boards, physical objects, and electronic touch screens. On the East Street of the Ancient County, visitors can find Jinci osmanthus sweet dumplings, Jinyang glutinous rice cakes, and ancient Taiyuan paper-cutting. At the Kuixing Tower, there are performances of Jin Opera. On the South Street, visitors can experience rubbing inscriptions, while on the West Street, there is a root carving museum and an intangible cultural heritage martial arts scenario play. On the North Street, there is the Intangible Cultural Heritage Courtyard and the Ancient Architecture Museum.
