Tang Dengjie Led a CPC Delegation to Visit Zimbabwe and Tanzania.
From June 17 to 23, Tang Dengjie, Member of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Shanxi Provincial Committee, led a CPC delegation to visit Zimbabwe and Tanzania.
In Zimbabwe, Tang Dengjie met with Mohadi, Second Secretary of Zimbabwe African National Union- Patriotic Front (ZANU-PF) and Vice-President of Zimbabwe, Mpofu, ZANU-PF Secretary General, and representatives of other relevant departments, to promote practical cooperation projects between Shanxi and Zimbabwe and attend relevant signing ceremonies, as well as to extend greetings to overseas workers.
Both sides agreed to jointly implement the important consensus reached by the heads of the two countries, further strengthen political mutual trust, deepen inter-party exchanges, enhance the level of practical cooperation, and jointly promote the in-depth development of the China-Zimbabwe comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.
In Tanzania, Tang Dengjie met with Kassim Majaliwa, Prime Minster of Tanzania, Emanuel John Nchimbi, Secretary-General of the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM; 'Party of the Revolution' in English). He also visited the Mwalimu Julius Nyerere Leadership School and grassroots organizations of CCM to conduct research and hold discussions, promoted practical cooperation projects between China and Tanzania, and attended relevant signing ceremonies.
Both sides unanimously expressed willingness to jointly implement the important consensus reached by President Xi Jinping and President Samia Suluhu Hassan, deepen the exchange of experiences in governing the country and politics, closely cooperate in various fields, and promote the in-depth development of the China-Tanzania comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.
