In Xixian County, Shanxi, clusters of emerald-green and blush-red Yuluxiang pears adorn the branches, painting the most captivating scenery across the Loess Plateau. With a centuries-long history of pear cultivation, Xixian County has nurtured numerous pear varieties, but the birth of the Yuluxiang pear has added a new legend to this land. Developed independently by the Shanxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences’ Fruit Tree Research Institute, it is a hybrid of the Korla fragrant pear and the snow pear, combining the best traits of both to achieve unparalleled quality.
隰县地处北纬36.6°的黄土高原优质梨果生产核心带,这里沟壑纵横,年均日照2800小时,昼夜温差高达12℃。得天独厚的自然条件,孕育了玉露香梨卓越的品质:可溶性固形物含量高达15.1%,皮薄肉细,汁多味甜。它的名字更是对其特点的完美诠释——“玉”形容其外表如玉似翡翠,“露”道出了汁水丰沛、入口无渣的细腻,“香”则因其果香四溢,清甜香脆。
Xixian County lies at 36.6°N latitude, within the Loess Plateau’s prime pear-growing belt. The rugged terrain, 2,800 hours of annual sunshine, and a 12°C day-night temperature difference create ideal natural conditions that give the Yuluxiang pear its exceptional characteristics: a soluble solids content of 15.1%, thin skin, fine flesh, abundant juice, and a sweet, refreshing taste. Its name perfectly captures its essence—"Yu" (jade) reflects its jade-like, translucent green skin with a rosy blush; "Lu" (dew) symbolizes its juicy, melt-in-the-mouth texture without any grit; and "Xiang" (fragrance) highlights its intoxicating aroma, crisp sweetness, and lingering aftertaste.
咬一口玉露香梨,梨汁如泉涌般在唇齿间流淌,果肉松脆细嫩,雪白的质地仿佛能瞬间消融为蜜酿。它的果核细小,可食率超过90%,每一口都是饱满的享受。正是这“咬一口、流一手”的独特品质,让玉露香梨成为市场和消费者的宠儿。
Take a bite, and the pear’s juice gushes like a spring, while its snow-white flesh offers a satisfying crunch, dissolving into honey-like sweetness on the tongue. With a tiny core and an edible rate exceeding 90%, every bite is a pure delight. It is this "one bite, juice drips down your hand" quality that has made the Yuluxiang pear a favorite among consumers and markets alike.
如今,隰县梨果种植面积达38万亩,其中玉露香梨占比超过60%,年产量8500万斤,产值6.72亿元。梨果产业已成为隰县乡村振兴的支柱产业,全县80%的耕地、80%的农民、80%的农业收入都与梨果息息相关。隰县也因此被誉为“金梨之乡”,玉露香梨则成为这片土地上最耀眼的名片。
Today, Xixian County boasts 380,000 mu (about 25,333 hectares) of pear orchards, with Yuluxiang pears accounting for over 60% of the cultivation. The annual production reaches 85 million jin (42,500 tons), generating an output value of 672 million yuan. The pear industry has become a pillar of rural revitalization in Xi County—80% of its farmland, 80% of its farmers, and 80% of its agricultural income are tied to pear cultivation. As a result, Xixian County has earned the title "Hometown of Golden Pears," with the Yuluxiang pear shining as its most illustrious emblem.
从黄土高原到千家万户,玉露香梨不仅是一份甜蜜的馈赠,更是隰县人民智慧和自然的结晶。它承载着历史的厚重,也寄托着未来的希望,正以卓越的品质,书写着乡村振兴的新篇章。
