The Agreement on Mutual Visa Exemption Between China and Samoa Is Set to Take Effect

《中华人民共和国政府和萨摩亚独立国政府关于互免签证的协定》将自2025年4月2日起生效。

The Agreement on Mutual Visa Exemption between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the Independent State of Samoa will come into effect on April 2, 2025.

根据协定，持有效的中国外交、公务、公务普通及普通护照和持有效的萨摩亚独立国外交、官员及普通护照公民，在缔约另一方入境、出境或者过境，单次停留不超过30日，每180日累计停留不超过90日，免办签证。如需在缔约另一方境内停留超过上述停留期限，或在缔约另一方境内从事工作、学习、定居、新闻报道等须经缔约另一方主管部门事先批准的活动，应当在入境缔约另一方前申请相应签证。

According to the agreement, citizens holding valid Chinese diplomatic, official, official ordinary and ordinary passports and citizens holding valid Samoan diplomatic, official and ordinary passports will be exempt from obtaining visas when entering, exiting or transiting through the territory of the other contracting party, provided that the single stay does not exceed 30 days and the cumulative stay within 180 days does not exceed 90 days. If they need to stay in the territory of the other contracting party for a period longer than the above-mentioned stay period, or engage in activities such as work, study, settlement, and news reporting that require prior approval from the competent authorities of the other contracting party, they shall apply for the corresponding visa before entering the territory of the other contracting party.
