Wang Zhenhua won the third prize in the first Papercutting Competition in Shanxi Province in 2000, the gold prize in the Papercutting Art Exhibition in the provincial capital in 2004, and the bronze prize in the Papercutting Competition Commemorating Andersen’s Bicentennial held by the Ministry of Culture in 2005.
He has also been invited to perform in Finland, Estonia, Japan and other countries many times. His superb Papercutting skills have won wide acclaim.
From 19 to 22 April, 2023 Hong Kong International Licensing Show and Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and co-organized by the Hong Kong Exporters Association will be held at the Hong Kong International Convention and Exhibition Center.At that time, Wang Zhenhua will bring wonderful papercutting performances on site, using knives as pens and paper as media.
Artisans of folk art like Wang Zhenhua have been using their passion and wisdom to inherit, innovate and develop various folk traditional skills, so that the long-standing traditional culture and folk skills can be carried forward and developed.
