"Shanxi Night" • A Bite of Shanxi

At “Shanxi Night”,guests had countless ways to explore Shanxi,and undoubtedly, food was the most straightforward. On the outdoor venue of the second floor of the Canton Tower, the cold buffet focused on the characteristic cuisines of the 11 cities in Shanxi Province, presenting 16 dishes, 5 types of snacks, 26 beverages, 7 varieties of dried fruits and 4 types of fresh fruits.

Pingyao beef, Youyu roasted lamb chops, Shanxi crispy chicken, Qinzhou yellow millet rolls, Jishan jujube-stuffed rice, Qinshui hawthorns, Wutai Mountain wild vegetable balls, Yanbei pickled cabbages with mashed potatoes, Datong Ruyi jujube cakes, Taiyuan thumb-size buns, Fenyang green bean cakes,etc.Just hearing the names of these dishes whetted the appetite.

The cooking station showcased the preparation techniques of various local snacks such as Lucheng donkey meat pancakes and Shanxi-style knife-cut noodles, offering six types of noodle sauces to fully meet guests' diverse preferences.

The beverage area offered a selection of renowned Shanxi wines such as 30-year-old Qinghua Fenjiu, 30-year-old Guoniang Zhuyeqing, Rongzi Black Label red wine and Daixian yellow rice wine, along with specialty drinks including sea buckthorn juice, Dazhai walnut juice, jujube juice and apple vinegar.The dried fruits and fresh fruit section was filled with a variety of choices such as Yanggao apricot slices, Yongjiuhong almonds, sea buckthorn cakes, apricot cakes, and vinegar cakes. Additionally, it offered a collection of four famous Shanxi fruits including organic tomatoes, Sanbai melons, Jixian apples, and Xixian Yulu pears.

"A Bite of Shanxi" has attracted numerous fans with its enticing aroma, which spread to the Pearl River region. It has left a lasting impression of Shanxi's rich and diverse culinary culture in the hearts of guests from all over the world.
