Shanxi Province’s Governor Jin Xiangjun conducted an important visit to Morocco from April 22nd to 24th, during which he met with the Moroccan Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, the Moroccan Minister of Industry and Trade, and the president of CGEM. They discussed cooperation in the fields of energy and trade, and witnessed the signing of a cooperation framework agreement.

On April 22nd, Jin Xiangjun presided over the "Shanxi Day" Culture and Tourism Promotion Event at the Rabat China Cultural Center. Guests including Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Morocco, Li Changlin, and Secretary General of the Moroccan Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mustapha Messoudi, attended the event.

Jin Xiangjun introduced the characteristics of Shanxi Province as a renowned culture and energy powerhouse in China, as well as its positive momentum in energy transition and international economy, trade, and cultural exchanges. He welcomed friends from all walks of life in Morocco to visit Shanxi, sharing the new opportunities of Shanxi's transformation and development, and jointly creating a new future of openness and cooperation.

Ambassador Li Changlin emphasized the rapid development of China-Morocco relations in recent years in his speech, and expressed his willingness to support the exchange and cooperation between Shanxi and Morocco in the fields of economy, trade, culture and other areas.

Secretary General of the Moroccan Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mustapha Messoudi, conveyed that the promotion event will help Moroccan people better understand and appreciate Shanxi, while also welcoming more Chinese tourists to visit Morocco. He anticipated that through the cultural exchange, both China and Morocco can continuously enhance the level of their strategic partnership.
