To support the 2024 Shanxi Tourism Development Conference, various districts and counties in Taiyuan are launching a series of special activities to make preparations for warmly welcoming guests from all over the world!

Xinghualing District: Beautiful Scenery and Delicious Cuisine Welcoming Friends and Guests

During the Shanxi Tourism Development Conference, Caiwei Manor in Xinghualing District will set up a stage area, a camping area, an amusement area,and a leisure area, offering recreational activities such as dry skiing, grass skiing, hot air balloon rides, and fruit and vegetable picking. Additionally, a music festival will be held.

The district will host the Splendid Xinghualing Food Festival in shopping districts such as Wanda Plaza,inviting numerous catering enterprises. A variety of exciting events will be held, including exhibitions of antique embroidery patches of folk Shanxi embroidery , the 3rd Cultural and Creative Crafts Exhibition of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Xinghualing District, and the 2nd Food Culture Festival of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Xinghualing District.

Jinyuan District: Six Grand Events Prepared as a "Feast"

Jinyuan District will launch six major events including series of tourist attractions, cultural performances for the people, specialty products exhibitions and sales, introduction of intangible cultural heritage into scenic spots, demonstrations of noodle-making skills, and Jinyang Cultural Forum.

The series of tourist attractions include leisure destinations such as Paddy Field Park and Huata Village, ancient village attractions like Chiqiao and Diantou Ancient Fortress, as well as performing arts attractions in the Jinyangli Leisure Street. In addition, Jinyuan District will also hold other activities like study tours and the large-scale water live performance "A Dream in Jinyang".

The cultural performances for the people include square dances,singing competitions, skill competitions for talented artists, and other activities. The specialty products exhibitions will showcase Jinci yuanxiao with osmanthus filling, Jinci rice, and other Jinyuan intangible cultural heritage creative products and agricultural specialties. The introduction of intangible cultural heritage into scenic spots will feature National Intangible Cultural Heritage Wind and Fire Meteor, Intangible Cultural Heritage Shejia Drum, and Municipal-level Intangible Cultural Heritage Lion Dance. The demonstration of noodle-making skills will invite renowned chefs from Jinyuan time-honoured noodle restaurants and famous restaurants to showcase their culinary skills on site.

In addition, Jinyuan District will also host the Jinyang Cultural Forum to seek spiritual nourishment from traditional culture, gather the strength of all sectors of society, share the stories of Jinyuan, and enhance the culture and tourism brand of Shanxi.
