Jointly organized by Culture and Tourism Department of Shanxi Province , Centre for International Cultural Exchanges and China Cultural Center in Rabat,the “Chinese Ancient Civilization, Shanxi's Beautiful Scenery”— “Shanxi Day”Culture and Tourism Promotion Event was successfully held in Morocco on April 22nd local time.

Shanxi Province’s Governor Jin Xiangjun, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Morocco, Li Changlin, and Secretary General of the Moroccan Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mustapha Messoudi, attended the event and delivered speeches. More than a hundred guests from the political, cultural, tourism, business and media sectors of both China and Morocco also attended the event.

Shanxi Province’s Governor Jin Xiangjun expressed that the new summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation will be held in China this year, hoping to leverage this opportunity to deepen exchanges and cooperation in various fields between the two regions.He anticipated that the promotion event would serve as a new starting point to enhance cooperation in culture and tourism between both regions, facilitating the sharing and appreciation of outstanding culture.

The Secretary General of the Moroccan Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mustapha Messoudi, said in his speech that the Belt and Road Initiative has connected many countries. He hoped that this promotion event would serve as an opportunity to foster exchanges between China and the Arab world.

The Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Morocco, Li Changlin ,emphasized that China-Morocco relations are now at the best in history, with many opportunities for bilateral cooperation development.

Focusing on mutual visits for performances, promotion of tourism routes and products, marketing of tourism products, tourism reception services, reciprocal tourism source markets and other areas, representatives from culture and tourism enterprises in Shanxi Province and Morocco engaged in business negotiations, aiming to build an international culture and tourism cooperation and exchange platform.

Furthermore, artists from Shanxi and Morocco jointly performed at the promotion event, attracting more Moroccan tourists to visit Shanxi for sightseeing,leisure and vacation travel.
