Shanxi Datong | Intangible Cultural Heritage Luoluo Opera
Luoluo Opera is one of the traditional operas popular in Datong area of Shanxi Province and some areas of Hebei Province. It evolved from Yiyang Opera and flourished in Qing Dynasty. It gradually declined from the late Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China. Luoluo Opera is one of the popular operas in Datong area and some parts of Hebei Province, with its lively performing form, beautiful singing and strong life atmosphere.
In June 2006, Lingqiu Luoluoqiang was included in the " first batch of national intangible cultural heritage protection list " by the state. At present, Lingqiu Luoluo Opera Troupe is the only Luoluo Opera professional troupe in the country.
In recent years, Luoluo Opera Troupe has adhered to the principle of innovation and preserved traditional culture. In addition to creating a series of new works, it also pays attention to the succession and cultivation of talents. The performing arts team has been continuously enriched in the troupe, and more than 300 artists have been trained in 15 batches. The youthful power of the troupe makes the intangible cultural heritage dramas bloom new brilliance.
