Guanque Tower in Yongji: A Symbol of Yellow River Culture

Standing proudly on the banks of the Yellow River in Yongji, Yuncheng, Guanque Tower is celebrated as the “First Tower Along the Yellow River”. This historic tower gained eternal fame through the Tang Dynasty poet Wang Zhihuan’s poem On the Stork Tower. Climbing to the top, visitors are treated to a breathtaking view of the surging Yellow River, the towering Zhongtiao Mountains, and the vast, open plains. Here, travelers can recite the timeless verse “Ascend another storey to see a thousand miles further”, channeling the lofty aspirations of ancient scholars while immersing themselves in the profound heritage of Yellow River civilization.
