This Spring Festival, Shanxi So “City” – Taiyuan Edition

2025年乙巳蛇年，人类非遗版春节的首次到来，让中华民族的传统节日焕发了新的光彩。山西省特别推出了“山西非遗春节民俗图鉴”，翻开太原篇，趁着240小时免签政策，走进这座具有2500多年建城史的历史文化名城，感受其春节非遗年俗的斑斓世界，感受最浓中国年。

In the Year of the Snake (Yi-Si) in 2025, the first Spring Festival recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity adds new splendor to the traditional festivals of China. To mark this occasion, Shanxi Province has launched the "Shanxi Intangible Cultural Heritage Spring Festival Folk Custom Manual." Opening the Taiyuan chapter and taking advantage of the 240-hour visa-free policy, visitors can step into this historic city, which boasts over 2,500 years of history. Here, they can immerse themselves in the vibrant customs of the intangible cultural heritage Spring Festival and experience the rich traditions of the Chinese New Year.

太原春节非遗代表性项目包含风火流星、太原锣鼓、晋剧、清徐彩门楼、太原剪纸等。其中，清徐彩门楼是一门集民间古建筑技艺、民间美术、民间手工技艺手一体的综合艺术。过年过节，人们在附近山上采回柏叶绑在竹竿和木棍上，插在自家房顶的最高处，以求来年百业兴旺、人畜平安、祛除百邪。清徐徐沟背铁棍是起源于中原地区的迎神赛会活动，内容取村于民间传说、戏曲故事及现实生活。晋阳风火流星是融民间杂技与中华武术为一体的表演艺术。

The representative intangible cultural heritage projects during the Spring Festival in Taiyuan include Fenghuo Liuxing, Taiyuan Gong and Drum, Jin Opera, Qingxu Cai Gatehouse, and Taiyuan Paper-cutting. Among them, Qingxu Cai Gatehouse is a unique art form that combines ancient folk architectural techniques, folk art, and handicraft skills. During festivals, people collect cypress leaves from nearby mountains, tie them onto bamboo poles and wooden sticks, and place them at the highest points of their rooftops. This is done to seek prosperity in all aspects of life, ensure the safety of people and animals, and drive away evil spirits for the coming year. The Qingxu Gully Back Iron Stick activity has its origins in the Central Plains’ traditions of meeting gods, drawing from folklore, operatic stories, and everyday life. Jinyang Fenghuo Liuxing is a performing art that combines folk acrobatics with Chinese martial arts.

同时为庆祝非遗春节，太原市精心策划了一系列非遗庆祝活动。2025年1月22日-2月16日，太原美术馆2号厅举办“年自万物生”-2025山西非遗年俗艺术展。春节、元宵节期间，太原市小店区刘家堡乡刘家堡村举办第四届“堡里有年味回村过大年”民俗系列活动。2025年1月29日-2月5日，蒙山景区观音堂窑洞区举办传统非遗庙会、元宵节民俗活动。2025年1月-3月，太原植物园举办春节非遗展等新春活动和太原植物园第二届年俗文化节。2025年2月12日，万柏林区(地点待定)举办万柏林区锣鼓大赛。
