This Spring Festival, Shanxi So “City” – Taiyuan Edition

To celebrate the Intangible Cultural Heritage Spring Festival, Taiyuan has meticulously planned a series of heritage celebration activities. From January 22 to February 16, 2025, Hall 2 of the Taiyuan Art Museum will host the "Celebrating the Spring Festival Through the Creation of All Things" – 2025 Shanxi Intangible Cultural Heritage Spring Festival Customs Art Exhibition. During the Spring Festival and Lantern Festival, Liujiabao Village in Xiaodian District of Taiyuan will hold the fourth edition of the "Experience Authentic Chinese New Year in the Fort" folklore series. From January 29 to February 5, 2025, the Guanyintang Cave Area in Mengshan Scenic Area will organize traditional intangible cultural heritage temple fairs and Lantern Festival folklore activities. From January to March 2025, the Taiyuan Botanical Garden will hold Spring Festival intangible cultural heritage exhibitions, as well as the second annual Taiyuan Botanical Garden Festival of Spring Festival Customs. On February 12, 2025, the Wanbailin District (venue to be determined) will host the Wanbailin District Gong and Drum Performance Competition.
