Shanxi Cultural and Creative Jewelry: The Dazzling Fusion of Tradition and Modernity

In March 2025, Shanxi’s cultural and creative jewelry took center stage at the Paris International Tourism Exhibition. Jewelry designer Li Nana showcased 46 pieces featuring distinctive Shanxi elements, including an ancient architecture series, a bronzeware series, and the auspicious “Rope of Ascension” adorned with the character “晋” (Jin). Rooted in her hometown's culture, these designs integrate the beauty of Shanxi's ancient structures and the charm of bronzeware, presenting the depth of Shanxi's heritage to a global audience. Li Nana’s creations, crafted with pride and love, became a highlight of the exhibition, captivating international visitors with their unique cultural appeal.   

介休琉璃文创耳饰：非遗技艺的青春焕新

Jiexiu Colored Glaze Earrings: Revitalizing Intangible Heritage with Youthful Energy  

“90后”非遗传承人刘文婷将介休琉璃的传统技艺与现代审美相结合，创作出令人惊艳的琉璃文创耳饰。她的设计灵感来源于《千里江山图》的配色，黄绿釉与孔雀蓝釉的搭配，既保留了介休琉璃的古典韵味，又增添了时尚气息。由于每一件琉璃制品的釉烧氛围不同，这些耳饰成为独一无二的艺术品，深受年轻人喜爱。刘文婷的作品不仅让非遗技艺焕发新生，也为传统文化注入了青春的活力。

Liu Wenting, a post-90s inheritor of intangible cultural heritage, has blended traditional colored glaze techniques with modern aesthetics to create stunning colored glaze earrings. Her designs draw inspiration from the color palette of Wang Ximeng’s “Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains”, with yellow-green and peacock blue glazes complementing each other perfectly. Since each colored glaze piece undergoes unique firing conditions, no two earrings are exactly alike, making them one-of-a-kind artworks beloved by young consumers. Liu Wenting’s work not only rejuvenates traditional craftsmanship but also injects youthful vitality into cultural heritage.
