The Youth Delegation from Iowa Visits Shanxi Province

From August 8 to 11, a delegation of 20 young people from Iowa, USA visited Shanxi Province for a four-day exchange program. The young representatives from Iowa and Shanxi paired up. Through various activities such as panel discussions and cultural experiences, they gained insights into Shanxi's rich history, economic achievements, and the flourishing development of Chinese-style modernization. This exchange fostered cultural understanding and learning between young people from the two countries.
The Chinese and American youths jointly visited Jinci Temple, the Ancient City of Taiyuan, and the Shanxi Museum, appreciating the culture of Shanxi Province. They visited Liujiabao Village in Xiaodian District to experience rural revitalization. They also visited the Shanxi Aviation Industry Park and other locations to witness the momentum of technological innovation and industrial development. They explored the 'Intangible Cultural Heritage Park' Youth Home, immersing themselves in the region's intangible cultural heritage. Cultural heritage inheritance and innovation, as well as youth development exchange and sharing sessions, were held to enhance exchanges and foster friendship among the youths.
