The Chinese Embassy in Iceland Hosted Spring Festival Reception for 2025

1月23日，中国驻冰岛使馆举办“温暖迎春·共庆中国年”华侨华人新春招待会。何儒龙大使夫妇与旅冰华侨华人、留学生、孔子学院教师及冰岛社会友好人士近300人齐聚一堂，共庆中国蛇年新春。驻冰岛大使何儒龙、山西省文旅厅副厅长张志仁、冰岛华人华侨协会会长李彤分别致辞。

On January 23, the Chinese Embassy in Iceland held the “Warm Welcome to 2025 Chinese New Year” Reception for Overseas Chinese in Iceland, gathering nearly 300 people, including Ambassador He Rulong and his wife, overseas Chinese in Iceland, Chinese international students, teachers from Confucius Institutes, and friendly figures from Icelandian society, to celebrate the arrival of the Year of the Snake. Ambassador He Rulong, Deputy Director-General Zhang Zhiren of Culture and Tourism Department of Shanxi Province, and Chairman LiTong of the Association of Overseas Chinese in Iceland each delivered speeches.

1月24日，中国驻冰岛使馆在雷克雅未克举办“欢乐春节”2025新春招待会。中国驻冰岛大使何儒龙夫妇，冰岛人民党主席因加·塞兰，冰岛救援协会主席，驻冰使节，在冰华侨华人、留学生等约700人欢聚一堂，共庆中国蛇年新春。

On January 24, the Chinese Embassy in Iceland hosted a “Happy Chinese New Year 2025” Reception in Reykjavik. Totaling around 700 people including Ambassador He Rulong and his wife, Inga Særland, Chairman of Iceland's People's Party, Chairman of Landsbjörg(ICE-SAR), diplomatic envoys in Iceland, as well as overseas Chinese, Chinese international students gathered together to celebrate the arrival of the Year of the Snake.

活动现场张灯结彩、节日氛围浓厚。山西省文化艺术团专程来冰进行演出，鼓乐民歌、舞蹈杂技、魔术表演展现浓郁山西文化特色和中国传统文化经典。来宾们在精彩的文艺表演、地道的中式佳肴中感受浓浓的年味，祝福祖国繁荣昌盛，祝愿中冰友谊长存！

The event venue was adorned with lanterns and decorations, creating a strong festive atmosphere. The Shanxi Art Troupe specially traveled to Iceland to perform, presenting a rich display of Shanxi's cultural characteristics and classic elements of traditional Chinese culture through drumming, folk songs, dances, acrobatics and magic tricks. Amidst the splendid artistic performances and authentic Chinese cuisine, guests immersed themselves in the thick atmosphere of the Chinese New Year and expressed their best wishes for the prosperity of the motherland and the everlasting friendship between China and Iceland!
