On August 9, the Shanxi Culture and Tourism Special Promotion Event at 2024 Xi’an Silk Road International Tourism Expo was successfully concluded at the Xi'an International Convention Center. Zhang Zhiren, Deputy Director of the Culture and Tourism Department of Shanxi Province, Qiu Xuanluo, Second-level Inspector of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Shaanxi Province, Wang Xinyu, Vice President and Secretary-General of the Shaanxi Tourism Association, and Gong Jianmin, Secretary-General of Shaanxi Province Travel Agency Association, attended the event.
Zhang Zhiren, Deputy Director of the Culture and Tourism Department of Shanxi Province, emphasized the traditional "Friendship of Shanxi and Shaanxi" and highlighted the close culture and tourism exchanges between the two regions, as well as their promising development trends. He advocated for deepening the culture and tourism cooperation between Shanxi and Shaanxi, jointly exploring the charm of their resources, promoting the coordinated development of the industry, and achieving mutual benefits. Qiu Xuanluo, Second-level Inspector of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Shaanxi Province, also expressed his expectation for further culture and tourism cooperation between Shanxi and Shaanxi to jointly drive development.
As a major culture and tourism province, Shanxi boasts numerous national-level cultural heritage. The promotion event prominently showcased famous attractions such as Mount Wutai and introduced the culture and tourism resources of places like Linfen and Xinzhou.
At the event, original songs extolled the magnificence of Wooden Pagoda of Yingxian County, while mesmerizing performances featuring magic and intangible cultural heritage related to Shanxi's noodle-making arts enthralled the audience. Several scenic spots, including Mount Yun, signed agreements with Shaanxi enterprises to deepen culture and tourism cooperation. In the exhibition showcasing intangible cultural heritage, six booths and interactive paper-cutting activities captivated guests. The Culture and Tourism Department of Shanxi Province, along with numerous cities and 23 enterprises, participated in the exhibition, comprehensively demonstrating the rich culture and tourism resources as well as the charming creative products of intangible cultural heritage in Shanxi.
