China Expands Visa-Free Policy to 47 Countries

6月9日起，中方对沙特、阿曼、科威特、巴林持普通护照人员试行免签政策。至此，适用单方面免签政策来华国家已扩展至47个。

Starting from June 9, China has implemented a visa-free policy for ordinary passport holders from Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain. With this addition, the total number of countries eligible for China’s unilateral visa-free policy has expanded to 47.

自2025年6月9日至2026年6月8日，沙特、阿曼、科威特、巴林持普通护照人员来华经商、旅游观光、探亲访友、交流访问、过境不超过30天，可免办签证入境。

From June 9, 2025, to June 8, 2026, ordinary passport holders from Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain can enter China without a visa for business, tourism, family visits, exchanges, or transit, with a stay of no more than 30 days.

加上2018年全面互免签证的海合会成员国阿联酋和卡塔尔，中方已实现对海合会国家免签“全覆盖”。

Combined with the comprehensive mutual visa exemption for GCC members the UAE and Qatar since 2018, China has now achieved "full coverage" of visa-free policies for all GCC countries.

·来华是否需要通过中国驻外使领馆提前申报？

答：符合条件的外国人适用免签政策来华无需事先向中国驻外使领馆申报。

Answer: Foreigners eligible for the visa-free policy do not need to make prior declarations at Chinese diplomatic missions.

·未成年人适用免签政策来华是否有特殊要求？

· Are there special requirements for minors entering China under the visa-free policy?

答：未成年人与成年人适用免签政策来华条件相同。

Answer: Minors are subject to the same conditions as adults under the visa-free policy.

·对入境证件种类及有效期是否有要求？

· Are there specific requirements for the type and validity of entry documents?

答：外国人需持有效普通护照来华，有效期须满足在华旅行需要。持旅行证、临时或紧急证件等普通护照以外证件的外国人不适用免签政策来华。

Answer: Foreigners must hold a valid ordinary passport, with sufficient validity for their stay in China. Those with travel permits, temporary, or emergency documents (other than ordinary passports) are not eligible for the visa-free policy.

·30日停留期限如何计算？

· How is the 30-day stay period calculated?

答：免签入境停留期限自入境次日起计算，可连续停留30个自然日。

Answer: The 30-day stay period is calculated from the day after entry, allowing for continuous stays of 30 calendar days.

·旅游团组能否适用免签入境？

· Can tour groups enter under the visa-free policy?

答：符合免签来华条件的外国人，无论是参加旅游团组，还是个人旅游，都可适用免签政策入境。

Answer: Foreigners who meet the visa-free conditions, whether traveling in tour groups or individually, are eligible for visa-free entry.

·是否可以多次入境，对入境时间间隔是否有要求？

· Is multiple entry allowed, and are there any restrictions on the interval between entries?

答：外国人如符合免签来华条件，可多次适用免签政策来华，目前对免签次数、总停留天数暂无限制，但应注意不得从事与入境事由不符的活动。

Answer: Eligible foreigners can use the visa-free policy for multiple entries. Currently, there are no restrictions on the number of entries or total stay duration, but travelers must not engage in activities inconsistent with their stated purpose of entry.
