2025 China’s Intangible Cultural Heritage Wheaten Food Carnival Concludes Successfully

7月30日至8月5日，2025中国非遗面食大会在大同市柴市角成功举办。这场为期一周的盛会以“可吃、可玩、可体验”为主题，通过非遗面食体验周、面艺表演、争冠赛等活动，打造了一场沉浸式文化盛宴。100余种特色面点、非遗面食及地方小吃齐聚一堂，山西非遗面食IP形象全新推出，吸引了众多游客市民前来体验。

From July 30 to August 5, the 2025 China’s Intangible Cultural Heritage Wheaten Food Carnival was successfully held at Chaishijiao in Datong City. This week-long event, themed "Edible, Playable, and Experiential," created an immersive cultural feast through activities such as the Intangible Cultural Heritage Wheaten Food Experience Week, noodle art performances, and championship competitions. Over 100 types of specialty wheaten foods, intangible cultural heritage noodle dishes, and local snacks gathered in one place, while Shanxi’s new intangible cultural heritage wheaten food IP was officially launched, attracting numerous visitors and locals.

活动现场，百余种非遗美食现做现卖，成为一座流动的“舌尖上的非遗博物馆”。陕西潼关肉夹馍、河北黄米红豆馅黏豆包、涿州红糖冰汤圆、鄂尔多斯传统馓子等各地特色美食交相辉映。山西本土美食阵容尤为亮眼，刀削面、莜面栲栳栳、定襄蒸肉等传统美味与创新产品同台展示。活动期间单日最高销售3万份非遗美食，销售额超20万元，其中刀削面卖出近千碗，柳林碗团售出800余碗。

At the event, more than 100 kinds of intangible cultural heritage foods were freshly made and sold on-site, turning the venue into a dynamic "Museum of Intangible Cultural Heritage on the Tip of the Tongue." Specialties from across the country, such as Shaanxi’s crispy Tongguan Roujiamo, Hebei’s glutinous millet and red bean sticky buns, Zhuozhou’s sweet and refreshing brown sugar ice Tangyuan, and Inner Mongolia’s golden and crispy traditional sanzi, created a symphony of flavors. Shanxi’s local delicacies were particularly impressive, featuring classics like knife-cut noodles, oat noodles kaolaolao, and Dingxiang steamed meat, alongside innovative products that showcased the modern vitality of intangible cultural heritage cuisine. Daily sales peaked at 30,000 servings, with revenue exceeding 200,000 yuan, including nearly 1,000 bowls of knife-cut noodles and over 800 servings of Liulin Wantuan sold.

非遗面艺表演成为大会亮点，面点师傅们展示了刀削面投篮、剔尖钻铜钱、吹面气球等绝活，现场互动环节让观众亲身体验非遗技艺的魅力。特别策划的非遗面食争冠赛更是精彩纷呈，经过大众投票和专业评审，大同鼎吴福园餐厅赵鹏、大同花园大饭店康云生、大同龙聚祥李鑫龙分别获得勾刀削面、瓦刀削面和烧麦制作技艺冠军。市民张先生表示：“这个活动既能品尝地道非遗美食，又能宣传山西面食文化。”

The intangible cultural heritage noodle art performances were a major highlight, with chefs demonstrating incredible skills such as "shooting hoops" with knife-cut noodles, threading noodles through coin holes, blowing noodle balloons, and skillfully shaping shaomai wrappers. Interactive sessions allowed the audience to personally experience these traditional techniques. The specially organized Wheaten Food Championship Competition was another exciting event, where top chefs competed in knife-cut noodles and shaomai making. After public voting and professional judging, Zhao Peng from Datong Dingwufuyuan Restaurant, Kang Yunsheng from Datong Garden Hotel, and Li Xinlong from Datong Longjuxiang won the titles for hook-knife-cut noodles, tile-knife-cut noodles, and shaomai making, respectively. A local resident, Mr. Zhang, praised the event, saying, "It’s a great opportunity to taste authentic intangible cultural heritage food while promoting Shanxi’s noodle culture."

2025中国非遗面食大会不仅是一场美食盛宴，更搭建了非遗传承与交流的平台，让非遗成为“舌尖上的经济增长极”，展现了中华美食文化的深厚底蕴。

More than just a culinary festival, the 2025 China’s Intangible Cultural Heritage Wheaten Food Carnival served as a platform for cultural exchange and heritage preservation, turning intangible cultural heritage into an "economic growth engine on the tip of the tongue" and showcasing the profound heritage of Chinese culinary culture.
