Shanxi Launches Two New International Flight Routes to Accelerate the Opening-Up of Its Air Channels

China Eastern Airlines will launch a regular round-trip flight from Taiyuan via Wuhan to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on September 10. The outbound flight operates every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, while the return flight operates every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Flight MU859 departs from Taiyuan at 21:00 and arrives in Kuala Lumpur at 4:30 the next day; Flight MU860 departs from Kuala Lumpur at 5:30 and arrives at Taiyuan Wusu International Airport at 13:10. This route will significantly facilitate travel between Shanxi, Hubei, neighboring regions, and Malaysia and other Southeast Asian destinations, further promoting economic, trade, and cultural exchanges among the three cities.

两条新航线的开通，是山西省积极落实“一带一路”航空枢纽建设的重要举措。航线开通后，将为两地市民出游、探亲、求学提供便利交通条件，在中韩两国互访免签政策红利下，进一步促进山西与首尔、吉隆坡加密经贸、文旅等领域往来合作，推动山西加快打造国际知名文化旅游目的地，助力全省入境旅游市场持续升温。

The launch of these two new routes is an important step by Shanxi Province in implementing the Belt and Road Initiative by strengthening its aviation hub. These flights will provide convenient transportation for residents traveling for tourism, family visits, and studies.
