恒山一带属温带半干旱气候，昼夜温差大，海拔高度在1200至2000米之间，土壤以疏松的沙质壤土为主，透气性好且富含矿物质。这样的自然环境为黄芪的生长提供了绝佳条件，使其根部能够深扎土壤，形成粗壮、粉性足的优质药材。恒山黄芪因其独特的生长环境，药效显著，被誉为黄芪中的上品。

The Hengshan region features a temperate semi-arid climate with significant diurnal temperature variations and an elevation ranging from 1,200 to 2,000 meters. The loose, sandy loam soil, well-ventilated and mineral-rich, provides ideal conditions for astragalus growth. This unique environment allows the roots to penetrate deeply, developing into thick, starch-rich medicinal herbs. Hengshan Astragalus, nurtured by this pristine ecosystem, is renowned for its exceptional efficacy and is regarded as a top-grade variety. 

精品路线：高端出口，道地品牌

Premium Strategy: High-End Exports and Authentic Branding

浑源黄芪走精品化路线，主打“道地药材”品牌，以高端出口为主。加工厂每年加工黄芪达一百万斤，产品远销五大洲80多个国家和地区。其中，精选整根黄芪（如“正北芪”）和高端饮片深受香港、台湾、新加坡等传统中药文化深厚地区的青睐。这些产品不仅稳定了国际中药原料市场的行情，更提升了中国道地药材的国际影响力。

Hunyuan Astragalus follows a premium development path, emphasizing its status as an "authentic medicinal herb" and focusing on high-end exports. Local processing factories produce over one million pounds of astragalus annually, exporting to more than 80 countries and regions across five continents. Selected whole roots (such as "Zheng Bei Qi") and high-grade sliced products are particularly favored in markets with strong traditional Chinese medicine cultures, including Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore. These products not only stabilize the global market for Chinese herbal ingredients but also enhance the international reputation of China’s authentic medicinal herbs.

Global Expansion: From Hunyuan to the World

近年来，浑源县积极推动恒山黄芪的国际化进程。2024年以来，大同市多次参与晋港澳各界交流座谈会议，举办北岳文旅和恒山黄芪港澳推介会，并与澳门德泰合康有限公司、澳门中医药学会签署战略合作协议，推动恒山黄芪认证标准数字化技术国际转化落地澳门和横琴。目前，恒山黄芪已成功进入日本、韩国、加拿大、英国、美国等国际市场，成为中医药文化走向世界的重要名片。

In recent years, Hunyuan County has actively promoted the globalization of Hengshan Astragalus. Since 2024, Datong City has participated in multiple exchange forums between Shanxi, Hong Kong, and Macao, hosting promotional events for Hengshan Astragalus in Hong Kong and Macao. Strategic cooperation agreements were signed with Macao's Detaihe Kang Co., Ltd. and the Macao Chinese Medicine Association to advance the international standardization and digital certification of Hengshan Astragalus in Macao and Hengqin. Today, Hengshan Astragalus has successfully entered markets in Japan, South Korea, Canada, the UK, the US, and beyond, becoming a prominent ambassador of traditional Chinese medicine culture on the global stage.
