UNESCO World Heritage Volunteer Initiative: Recruitment for the Foguang Temple Volunteer Project

联合国教科文组织世界遗产志愿者（WHV）倡议（以下简称“倡议”）是2008年由联合国教科文组织（UNESCO）与国际志愿服务协调委员会（CCIVS）合作发起，每一年，项目通过支持青年组织或机构与多个利益相关者合作组织行动营，招募全球志愿者，开展动员实践和提高认识活动，共同致力于保护世界遗产地工作，旨在鼓励年轻人采取具体行动，并在保护、保存和推广世界遗产地方面发挥积极作用。

The UNESCO World Heritage Volunteer (WHV) Initiative, launched in 2008 through collaboration between UNESCO and the Coordinating Committee for International Voluntary Service (CCIVS), mobilizes global youth volunteers through action camps every year. These camps aims to support youth institutions alongside diverse stakeholders—implement hands-on conservation and awareness-raising activities to protect World Heritage sites.

为推动更多公众深度参与气候变化下文化遗产保护山西在地实践工作，山西科城能源环境创新研究院申请的2025年联合国教科文组织世界遗产志愿者项目“佛光寺”成功入选，成为全球89个、全国9个入选项目之一。

The 2025 WHV program at Foguang Temple, organized and implemented by Shanxi Coshare Innovation Institute of Energy & Environment, is one of 89 global projects and 9 Chinese initiatives selected.

佛光寺项目由山西省古建筑与彩塑壁画保护研究院与山西科城能源环境创新研究院共同执行，项目旨在通过建立科学化的招募体系、专业化的文化遗产保护能力建设、参与式的田野调研与跨领域的对话机制，探索公众参与世界遗产保护的可持续发展模式，协助佛光寺文保机构开展保护和文化传播工作的同时，让更多公众认识到当前气候变化下文化遗产面临的威胁与保护现状，促进公众层面积极参与气候变化下文化遗产保护行动。

The Foguang Temple program is jointly implemented by Shanxi Academy of Ancient Building and Painted Sculptures & Fresco Preservation and Shanxi Coshare innovation Institute of Energy & Environment. It aims to empower the public with essential knowledge and tools to pioneer public engagement models for climate-resilient heritage preservation through:

• Scientific recruitment systems

• Professional capacity-building in heritage preservation

• Participatory field research

• Cross-disciplinary dialogue mechanism
