Today, Shanxi’s handicrafts are making their way onto the global stage with unique charm, serving as a bridge connecting traditional Chinese culture with the international market. 高平潞绸：丝绸之路上再放异彩

Gaoping Lu Silk: Rekindling Brilliance on the Silk Road

潞绸是中国三大名绸之一，历史上曾与杭缎、蜀锦齐名。高平作为潞绸的重要产地，其生产技艺从未间断。1958年，高平丝织印染厂的成立将潞绸制品推向更高档次，其真丝双绉、织锦被面等产品在全国丝织业中名列前茅，并出口世界各地。近年来，潞绸更是频频亮相国际舞台：2024年，在中法建交60周年之际，高平潞安府潞绸集团亮相“中国高平非遗巴黎见面会”；2025年，潞绸再次登上巴黎名媛舞会，向世界展示山西非遗工艺的独特魅力。

Lu silk, one of China’s three most famous silks, was historically on par with Hangzhou satin and Shu brocade. Gaoping, as a major production area of Lu silk, has never interrupted its production techniques. In 1958, the establishment of the Gaoping Silk Printing and Dyeing Factory elevated Lu silk products to a higher level, with its high-end varieties such as pure silk crepe de chine, brocade, and satin quilt covers ranking among the best in China’s silk industry and being exported worldwide. In recent years, Lu silk has frequently appeared on the international stage: in 2024, during the 60th anniversary of Sino-French diplomatic relations, Gaoping Lu’anfu Lu Silk Group made its debut at the "China Gaoping Intangible Cultural Heritage Paris Exhibition"; in 2025, Lu silk will once again grace the Paris Debutante Ball, showcasing the unique charm of Shanxi’s intangible cultural heritage to the world.
