The Hengshan region features a temperate semi-arid climate with significant diurnal temperature variations and an elevation ranging from 1,200 to 2,000 meters. The loose, sandy loam soil, well-ventilated and mineral-rich, provides ideal conditions for astragalus growth. 浑源黄芪走精品化路线，主打“道地药材”品牌，以高端出口为主。加工厂每年加工黄芪达一百万斤，产品远销五大洲80多个国家和地区。其中，精选整根黄芪（如“正北芪”）和高端饮片深受香港、台湾、新加坡等传统中药文化深厚地区的青睐。这些产品不仅稳定了国际中药原料市场的行情，更提升了中国道地药材的国际影响力。

Hunyuan Astragalus follows a premium development path, emphasizing its status as an "authentic medicinal herb" and focusing on high-end exports. Local processing factories produce over one million pounds of astragalus annually, exporting to more than 80 countries and regions across five continents.
